Bike Tree Carry

Junk-2-Funk

We finally had a chance to revamp the armchair we found in January. It was a crazy undertaking (6 long nights) for two novice upholsterers. Hi-fives to us.

Wearns Part II

The magic of M. Saunders' photo montage.
THE LONGBOARD
Some action.
We were sitting directly behind the Fin's bench for this game, so I was able to get a good shot of T-bone Salami. He is one elluva hockey player.
Wearns receives the German scarf from one of the members of the German fan club. It was momentous. I think he even bowed while receiving it.
Wearns should have received the International Ice Hockey Federation's fan of the tournament. The Germans seated around us were very confused when Norway scored a goal and this wee blond man wearing Deutschland garb erupts. I guess the moral of the story is that when in attendance at an international hockey tourney, it doesn't matter who you cheer for so long as you're cheering.

The end of the night pub drink. I call it "stunned with excitement."

The Qu'Appelle Valley

Not as exciting as hockey and lobsters, but here is some proof for my eastern friends that Sask isn't all flat!

Hockey Day in Halifax

Lobster breakfast, which is pretty tight. We got up early, caught a ride to clearwater market in Bedford and bought a couple 1.5 pounders. Lydia faced her fear of the lobster and we cooked those muthas up with some baked potatoes and corn on the cob. So good.

As we approached the Metro centre, the tooting of horns and smashing of drums grew louder and louder. Canadian hockey fans are tards, which made it really fun to be around. Saunders and I bought Wearns a Team Canada Hoodie for his birthday. For the first game (US vs CAN) we stuck to our nosebleed seats but during the second (LAT vs SLO) we were able to sneak down to ice level. We drank mini beers and equally mini whiskey/cokes through straws. Oh, some crazed Canadian fans mistook Warren for Dany Heatley - add that to his list of celebrity look-a-likes.

Prairie Post

Rippin' on the 1960s pedal/gas Peugeot moped in Regina.

Wearn Geddies Pt1

It rained and misted and froze the first two days Wearns was here. The pic above is an ill-prepared Warren fashioning M.Sauns' rain jacket. Lydia was quite confused. Finally on Saturday the weather straightened out. Here are a few pics to prove it.
